CABLE OWNERSHIP.
FEELING IN CANADA. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT,] (Received May 22, 11.10 .p.m.) LONDON, May 22. The “Times” Ottawa •, correspondent reports that Canadians believe in a conference to settle the question of a State owned cable between Canada, and the Motherland. Premier Laurier, with the co-opera-tion of Australia and New Zealand, who are' interested equally with Canada, is expected to bring the matter to a successful conclusion. The ownership of all leading cables passing foreign control makes a strong additional reason for that course. It is not believed here that the control by the British post office of foreign owned cablets can be more than nominal.
