The bnde, Miss Ethel Wallis, was. splitting some kindlino-. wood! on Tuesday afternoon and was struck in the eye by a splinter, the injury was serious, and it was found necessarv to convey the .sufferer to tbe hospital at once. A# everything had ii/been arranged for the ceremony the fob \ lowing day it „was decided to allow M X Wallte to i-eturn to Clevedon for hei wedding and] at the conclusion of the ceremcnv sue was immediately taken back to the hospital. Some nine days must elapse before the extent of hei injuries are known.
