The chairman, stated that deposits, especially the fixed ones, were still on the increase owing to the general prosperity, and an accumulation of money was awaiting investment. Bills discounted and loans advanced showed an increase of £2,430,000, and were well 1 spread throughout Australia and New Zealand.
