COOK COUNTY WOMEN’S GUILD.

MONTHLY MEETING

The monthly meeting of tho Cook County Women’s Guild was held on Friday. afternoon, Mrs Town ley presiding. Members spoke with regret of Mrs F. J. Wilson’s departure from Gisborne and unanimously elected her a life member of the Guild. Tire monthly reports from the Maternity and! Children’s ; Homes were considered and thought very satisfactory and also the reports from the visiting committee. ' The President announced that the second anniversary of the Creche will fall on the Ist July, and members were asked, to note this date. A favorable report was received from the Ball Committee, stating that preparations were well in hand for the Coronation Ball to be held on June 20th. The Ghilren’s Home report showed that there are 13 chilren d(perman-ent) in the home and 2 day children. The Ball Committee wishes to thank the City Band for their kind offer to play at the Coronation Ball, and have accepted same.
