The Union Co/s Tarawera left Auckland at 3 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived ' in the bay at 4.30 p.m. yesterday, having called at' Tokomaru Bay. There was only one launch, the Tuatea leaving the wharf at 5 p.m., and the Tarawera sailed, for Nauier about 8 p.m. Messrs. Huddart, Parker, and Co. s Victoria arrived from Napier on baturdav morning, and after being tendered at'the usual hours she proceeded to Sydnev. via Tokomaru Bay and Auckland. The Union Co/s Hauroto is due to arrive from South on Wednesday morning, the Monowai having not yet been completelv overhauled. The Tuatea connects at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.. and the Hauroto should clear the bay for Auckland before noon. . . . . . ~ The Union Co/s Haupin arrived in the roadstead early yesterday morning from Napier, and was tendered by one launch at 10 a.m. She sailed for Auckland, via East Coast bays, during the afternoon. The Kaiapoi Shipping _ Co/s Kairaki arrived from Lyttelton, via Napier, early yesterday morning, having experienced .. strong north-westerlv winds and a heavy swell between Lyttelton and Napier. She loaded some 90 head of cattle, and sailed for Kaiapoi late in the afternoon. The Union Co.’s produce steamer Wairuna arrived from Napier early •yesterday. and proceeded to Auckland direct early in the afternoon. The Union Co/s Squall left Auckland at 9.30 p.m. on Thursday, and arrived at Tologa Bay at 10.30 a.m. yesterday, leaving again at noon. She arrived in the bav about 5 p.m., and came up to the wharf at 5.30 p.m. Strong north-easterly winds were experienced until Saturday evening, but fine weather prevailed during the latter part of the trip. The vessel’s cargo consists of the following: —B cylinders gas, 460 bags cement, 45 bags lime, 50 cases benzine, 670 sacks coal, 250 bundles laths, a quantity of sundries, and a large amount of transhipments ex Swanley, Delphic, and Star of Australia. It is expected to despatch the Squall for Auckland this evening. Mr. J- D. McLaren has joined the Squall as purser. The Anchor Shipping and Foundry Co/s Waimea is timed to arrive in Gisborne to-day from the South. Messrs. Bichardson and Co.’s Kipple, from Napier and southern ports, arrived on Saturday morning, being one day late. She discharged her general cargo, and returned to Picton the same evening. The Union Co.s’ Waipori, at present discharging coal in the bay, is expected to proceed to Tokomaru Bay to-day, and from that port she goes to Napier. The scow Alert, which arrived m the bay at a late hour on Friday evening from Ngunguru, brought a cargo of coal for the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Frozen Meat .Co.
