The colliery village of Ryhope, near Sunderland, is suffering from,a plaguy of ants. The. houses, it is stated, are infested with them and' they are raiding food supplies. The -ants aie believed locally to be of a foreign species. The King’s Birthday will be observed in Gisborne on Monday.
