EIGHT-ROOMED HOUSE ABLAZE. IPEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.} AUCKLAND, May 31. An eight-roomed house in Selboi'ne street, Grey Lynn, owned by Mr Darling of Coromandel, and occupied by Mr Carter, Wife totally destroyed by fire last night. d. The adjoining houses were, damaged- by tbei flames, the one oecu-' pied by Mrs Baker suffering most severely. Carter and his wife and children were absent when the fire broke out. No information. as to the insurances is available. DWELLING HOUSE DESTROYED. ASHBURTON. May 31. A six-roomed house in Peter street, owned and 1 occupied by H. Shepherd, was, with the contents, destroyed by fire at 5.30 ''this morning. ' The origin of the outbreak is unknown. The insurances total £265. another outbreak: DUNEDIN/ May 31. Three front rooms of the residence of Sergeant-Major Mead, at St. Kilda, were totally destroyed last night. The House'is insured in the New Zealand office for £360. "*
