BURNT BY MOLTEN LAVA.
NUMBER OF DEAD UNKNOWN. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. OTTAWA, May 31. News by a steamer states that many pilgrims were burnt by molten lava on Asama volcano. The annual festival was in progress when the eruption occurred. The number of dead is unknown.
