A 'Women’s National League deputation askedi the Acting Premier to impose a fine ‘of five pounds for a first offence on qualified voters who do. not use their privilege, and for a second offence to impose a month’s imprisonment.
The Minister replied that he considered the proposal too- harsh, but some penalty might be provided.
