AUCKLAND, June 9. At a meeting of the Council of the Auckland 'Chamber of Commerce this afternoon, the question of the acceleration of the steam service between Auckland -md Sydney, was again discussed.
A reply Avas received from the Union S.S. Company stating that the request for a three days’ service could not be acceded to. ® . After discussion it Avas decided to again write to the Company asking for a more expeditious service, approximating three and a half days.
