ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
DROWNED IN A BATH. [PER PEESS ASSOCIATION.} WANGANUI, June 10. It was reported to the police last evening that Mrs Charles Bryce, Avhose husband died three years ago, Avas found dead in a bath at her residence. Evidence given at the inquest this morning slioAA-ed that deceased had a fainting fit a feAv days back. Last e\ rening she Avent to have a bath, and Avas found half an hour afterAvards, lying on her side, quite . underneath the water which filled the hath. A verdict Avas returned of found droAvned in a bath, resulting from a fainting fit.
ELDERLY FARMER’S FATE
TIMARU, June 10
An elderly man, aged 56 and single, a retired farmer/ named Jas. McGallaly, Avell knoAvn in the Ashburton and Winchester districts, died suddenly of heart disease in the street this morning. He had been under medical care for some years.
