Numbers of overseas branches were represented at the Victoria League conference.
Lord Piunket stated that persons with the experience of. the overseas’ people realised that sentiment was a tremendous fact in the growth of the Imperial ideal, and the maintenance of a United Empire. Mrs Rollett stated that the New Zealand league is doing good work in assisting young Englishmen to fit themselves for a farmer's life. -She pleaded for a more systematic method of welcoming immigrants. The English delegate suggested an interchange of teachers. Lords Selbourne and Haldane paid tributes to the work of the league. Among those present were the Countess of Jersey and Countess of Crewe, Lady Northcote, Lady Denman, and Lady Talbot.
