It is understood that in the Defence Committee of the Imperial Conference, British Ministers are strongly representing that a grave position has been created by Australia and Canada refusing to place their local navies unreservedly and automatically under the control of the. Admiralty in -war time. _ It is also stated that Air. Fisher and Sir Wilfrid Laurier firmly adhere to their original position.
