DAVIS CUP CONTEST.

SOUTH AFRICA WIIHDRAWS

[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) SYDNEY, June 12. (Received June, 12, 10.58 p.m.)

The secretary of the Tennis Association has received a cable from South Africa, expressing regret that South Africa must withdraw from the Davis Cup contest. It appears as if England, and America will have to play their tie in Australia, as America has definitely refused to go to London.
