KIA OKA COMPANY’S ENTERPRISE.

A fairly large and representative gathering. of shareholders in the Kia Ora Co-operative Dairying Co. was hold at Makaraka yesterday. The object of the meeting was for the consideration of a proposal for the acquisition by the company of . Mr. W. D. Lysnar’s butter, cheese, and bacon factories.

After consdierable discussion it was decided to authorise the directors to increase the capital of the company, and to proceed with the negotiations for the proposed purchase. 'The resolution to this effect, which was carried, will come up for confirmation at a special meeting to be held at an early date. It is stated that the purchase price is to be somewhere in the vicinity of £IO,OOO.
