The weekly meeting of the Poverty Bay Referees’ Association was held last night, when the following officials were appointed for the competition matches this week: Thursday: Gisborne v. Alhambra, Mr McWlhrter. SCHOOL MATCHES. Saturday.—No. 1 ground. 9.45, Mr Olsen; No. 2, No. 1 ground, Mr Vallance; No. 3, No. 2 ground, Mr Osborne. , The following names ,were submitted to the Poverty Bay Rugby Union for the Hawke’s Bay match: Messrs Williams, McWhirter and Olsen.
