ENTERTAINMENTS.

PATHE PICTURES

The final screening of the current programme of the Rathe Pictures last evening attracted a large audience to His Majesty’s, Theatre, and the, patrons ap2>eared to thoroughly appreciate the fine series. The management will to-night screen another new and varied programme. which includes some remarkably fine dramatic productions, among which “The Impalement” is foremost. This is a drama of the vigorous type, and is said to be well supported by “Dr Bairn,” “Border Rangers” and “Hearts and Politics.” An interesting military picture shows the Italian cuirassiers in their full regalia under review, while “Cranberry Sauce” .is an instructive subject in which the manufacture of this famous sauce is illustrated. The foaming “Cascades of Laria” are seen in a "picture, of that title, while the town of Drontheim on the south side of the Trondhjemi Fjord, in Norway, forms .the subject of another scenic film. The comics which are a laughable selection, include “Tontolini, Auto Driver,” and “Tweedledum, Late Champion Swordsman.”
