IMPERIAL POLITICS.

ST. PAUL’S BRIDGE BILL.

OBJECTION TO' THE SITE.

[UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.] (Received June 15, 10.30 1 p.m.) LONDON, June 15.

The House of Commons, on a division, by 156 to 89, sent the Saint Paul’s Bridge Bill hack to the Committee, because the plan did not give a direct vista of Saint Paul’s Cathedral.

The Corporation of London is unfavorable to the scheme of placing the bridge farther to the westward on the ground that it would cost from ten to twenty per centum more.
