FEDERAL LAND TAX.
MR. FISHER’S ATTITUDE.
DISAPPOINTMENT IN LONDON
[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.] (Received June 15, 9.20 p.m.) LONDON, June 15.
The “Times” says that members of the Chamber of Commerce are disappointed at Mr. Fisher’s attitude regarding the Federal land tax deputation. Despite the expressions by almost every speaker concerning the friendly spirit entertained towards Australia, Mr. Fisher interpreted the observations as being unfriendly, and suggested that the relations between the Commonwealth and Britain were estranged.
