UTILITY POULTRY.

NORTH ISLAND ASSOCIATION

FORMED

[PEE PEESS ASSOCIATION.] PALMERSTON N.. June 21

A North Island Utility Poultry Association was formed last evening. Messrs G. Finn, D. Inman, Tod and A. Mumby were appointed a committee to further the movement and report later. The meeting was enthusiastic. Mr E. Brown, poultry expert, who was the judge of poultry at the National Dairy Show, states that utility men competing in the poultry section at the show were disappointed at the results. They understood that the birds were to he judged purely on utility standards, but as the show was held under license of the North Island Association, the birds were judged on the English standard, and consequently the utility birds were passed over.
