BEAUTIFUL EMMA LAKE DEAD
Mrs Gilbert. N. Robinson, whose likeness on the billboards made her known to circusgoers all over the country up to a few years ago as “the beautiful Emma Lake,”' and wlio was called the greatest equestrienne in the world by Buffalo Bill, died recently in Dr. Britton B. Evans’ sanatorium m Morris Plains, N.J. “Gil” Robinson, her husband, a member of the famous circus family of Robinsons and ''"randson of the original “Old John” Robinson, had been with her through most of her illness, but left a few davs agoi to lock after his business! in Washington, because it was thought that liis wife was inrproving. A fall three years ago in the ring, in which her graceful and skillful performances had delighted circus crowds for years, was the cause ,of the ending of Emma Lake’s career.
