DAIRYING IN NEW SOUTH WALES.
QUALITY OF MILK DETERIORATING.
f UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT?.] SYDNEY, June 24. At a conference of those, connected with the dairying industry, the speakers declared that the wages demanded by the Rural Workers’ Union could nuo be paid and leave any profit. It meant a decided check to industry. The solution suggested was the recording of the individual "results of herds, by which means they would soon more than double the return per cow. If this were accomplished, the demand for increased wages need not cause worry. The ■conference appointed a committee to inquire and report on the demands. . A. discussion took place on the admittedly marked deterioration in the richness of the New South Wales milk supply in recent years, which, was claimed to be the result of dairymen giving all their attention to producing quantity without any regard to quality.
