HUNTING

POVERTY BAY HOUNDS. A meet of the Poverty Bay Hunt Club took place at Awapuni yesterday. The hounds threw off by the Maori pah, but the scent was not very good owing to the wind and rain. 'Several good runs were made, but puss managed to elude her pursuer’s on every occasion. Amongst those out were: Mesdames* Pattullo and Ga.ddum. Miss. Sherratt, Messrs W. G. Sherratt (Master), P. Walsh (huntsman). Sherratt (3), Gadclum, L. Coop, W. Allen, "Williams, MacDonald, ■ Campbell, Pilmer, Black, Thomas, Machell, Lange, Murphy .and others. There were also a good number following.
