(Received Julv 2, 5.5 p.m) FLEMINGTON, July 2. The Grand National Hurdles resulted : Arquebxise 1, Sparkle 2, Obi 3. Golden Cairn led out of the barrier, folloAved by Rufus, Lady Esker and Arquebuse. Leaving the straight Bribery and Hunterston Avent to the front, Golden Cairn attending them. Passing the stand, The Reckoning assumed command. Arquebuse being his closest attendant, Avith Bribery running last. With half a. mile to go Arquebuse held the lead from The Reckoning, Avith Sparkle a couple of lengths aAvay. Arquebuse shoAved the Ava.y into the straight, the nearest to him "being Sparkle and Hunterston. Then Sparkle made a determined effort to overtake the leader, but Arquebuse showed no signs of tiring, and AA-on comfortably by four lengths, Sparkle heating Obi by six lengths for second place. Time, smin 49sec.

All tlie acceptors started. Minato and Bob Gilder fell.
