Although 6hot through the hears, Mike Langer. of Butte, Montana, is now strong and well, and is wording every day. It was while hunting near Elk Park that .Langer accidentally discharged the gun he carried, and poured the full charge into hie left breast. lie was taken to the hospital, where Physician Carl li. Horst gave him immediate attention. The wound was cleansed an l the patient was not allowed to change his position for fear that a sudden inr might cause the heart valves to freak and result in his bleeding to death. The heart could be heard running in the clotted blood, and Dr. Hoist decided to remove the fluid ' Itii < n asperator. Ounce after ounce flowed out until twenty-nine of them , ad 1 cen extracted, and then the heart sounded clear and strong in the cavity. Langer is an Austrian, 3d years of age. He possesses a splendid physique, which helped him greatly in recovering from the wound.
