PEACE OF THE WORLD.
ANGLO-AMERICAN AGREEMENT
“CERTAIN TO BE CARRIED.”
[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.} NEW YORK, July 8.
At the Christian Endeavor Society s convention in Atlantic City, President Taft announced that the Anglo-Ameri-can agreement was certain to be carried into effect. He expressed the hope that other European countries would follow suit, thus creating a formidable instrument against war. The President alluded to the South American and Spanish-American as “freak” wars, and announced the signing of a fur and seal treaty, which he hoped meant the beginning of a system of ocean game laws.
