The Union Co.'s Monowai is timed to leave Napier this evening ,and should arrive here en route for Tokomaru Bay and Auckland early to-morrow morning. The Tuatea connects at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. Messrs. Huddart, Parker, and Co.'s Victoria arrives in Gisborne from Sydney, via Auckland and Tokomaru Bay, to-morrow afternoon. The launch is timed to connect on arrival and at 7 p.m., and the Victoria will resume her passage to Napier and southern ports during; the evening. The Union Co.'s Haupiri is due here from Wellington, via Picton and Napier, on Thursday, when she may come up to the wharf. Leaving here later in the day she proceeds to Auckland, via East Coast bays. The auxiliary schooner Waiapu arrived in the roadstead from Great Barrier Island early yesterday morning, and came up to the wharf about 8 a.m. Light to variable winds were experienced, but the passage was an uneventful one. Her cargo consists of some 43,000 ft of kauri timber for local merchants. The ketch Coronation, with a cargo of 85,000 ft of timber, arrived from Mercury Bay at an early hour yesterday The Westport Coal Co.'s Regulus is due' to arrive about Thursday, bringing a full cargo of coal from Westport. The Union Co.'s Waitemata is due here late in the week from southern ports. The auxiliary schooner Kaeo is at present working East Coast ports from Auckland, and is due in Gisborne about the end of the week. The, Kaiapoi Shipping Co.'s Kairaki/ which returned from Tokomaru Bay on Sunday evening, shipped 90 head of cattle, and proceeded to Kaiapoi, early yesterday afternoon. The Japanese training ship Taisei Ma- . ru, which is on a cruise round the world, ; arrived at Melbourne on June 25. She is a steel auxiliary twin-screw four-mast- . ed barque of 2287 tons register. She was built at Kobe in 1904 for the Japanese Government Navigation School. Her complement numbers 154, all told, of whom > 94 are cadets, whilst she is officered principally by graduates of the Nautical School of Tokio. Since leaving Yokohama ' on her nresent cruise in October the , Taisei Marti has visited the Falkland Islands. Tahiti, and Capetown. She was to remain at Melbourne for about ten days. BY TELEGRAPH.
