WELL-KNOWN. PARISIAN LADY ARTIST KILLED BY HER . BROTHER,
A well-known- Parisian artist, Mile. Amel-ie Lhermitte.. has been- murdered by her brother in a most brutal ner.Mile. Lhermitte,' who has' exhibited at the Paris Salon for the last ten years winning many medals and other honors, recived a 1 etter from her brother, who lives at Angers,- asking her to pay liim a visit. She wettt to see her brother, and spent the night at his house. Early the . next morning- she was se&n at her bedroom window screaming- lor help, while her brother'! in a state ot frantic,anger, was attacking her savagely' with ah’ axe. When the house was entered, and the man -arrested, Mite. Lhermitte" was dead. & The" brother declared that, being destitute, he asked his sister to die .with hifiii and that, when she'refused he attacked and killed her'.'
