PECULIAR CONDUCT AT AUCKLAND

(.PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.j v AUCKLAND, July 10. A man named Martin Luther, a resident of Onelmnga, called at the residence' of his son-in-law, W. Betliell, ' and demanded to see his daughter. Some words passed. Then Luther, it is alleged, produced a revolver , - and pointed it at Bet hell. The .latter rushed for the door, followed by Luther. A struggle ensued. Betliell disarmed his assailant. The cries of the females in the house drew a great crowd, and the police appearing, arrested Luther. They 7 also 1 too'lc possession of a revolver with four live cartridges, one of which bore evidence that it had been been struck by the hammer. At the Police Court, at Onehunga, Martin Luther was charged with drunkenness and flourishing ,a/ revolver. Ho expressed regret. He was fined £4 and prohibited.
