At the wool sales the following are the prices realised for the fleece portion of the clips named: Kaitepai, top price lid; average 9id. Ofeare Bd. Kaputone, top, 17|d; average, 15 7-Bd. Breamar, top 22fd; average 22d. The N.Z. Loan and. Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., are to-day in receipt of the following cablegram from their London office re wool: “There was a good attendance at the opening of the sales to-day, competition by Home and Continental buyers being active. ‘The openin o- catalogues were not representative. A~ compared with last sales’ closing rates prices are about par to 5 per cent, lower for scoured crossbred and greasy crossbred, coarse crossbred slipe and fine crossbred slipe. Prices are about the same for crossbred lambs and merino. Crossbred medium slipe wool is lower by *d to Id per lb.”
