CFEOM OUB Own cobbespondent.] ■Football' in these parts seems to. have taken a new lease of, life, and the interest shown in the popular outdoor sport is greater than for several seaeons past. , Two- teams from this district, tne I’Waihora team and the Puha-Karaka team, are at present playing m the Mangatu sub-Union competition. Tmere is much good, though raw, material for the -game, and the players are being much encouraged by the interest shown in the game by some of the older hands, notably Messrs T. Cremmin, W. Lewis, P. J. Sefton, H. Ruru, G. Williams and 3>r. Wi Repa.
