HEALTH OF SCHOOL CHILDREN.
RESULT OF MEDICAL INSPECTION [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.! LONDON, July 14. Mr: Runciman, President of the Board of Education, said the medical inspection of two million school children had showed the following percentages: Ten per cent had defective eyesight, 20 to 40 per cent were in urgent need of a dentist, 3 to 5 per cent had defective hearing, 8 per cent had enlarged tonsils, while 1 to 4.per cent had tuberculosis, and 1 per cent had heart disease.
