The Chamber of Commerce at Birmingham entertained the overseas members of Parliament, Mr. Jesse Codings presiding. Prince Leopold of Battenberg’s hors© bolted and fell at' the territorial camp at Lulworth. The Prince reoeived several outs on the bead, but is progressing favorably. A railway man in Switzerland, while bathing, was caught in the current, and carried over the cascade precipice at Salto Della Morte, which was 1000 feet deep, and was killed. An aviator, named Desmonlinaes, at Issy, fell 150 ft, and was grievously injured. About forty-five survivors, including Lord Roberts, of those who took part in the famous march from Kabul to Kandahar in 1880, were present at the annual commemorative dinner at the Hotel Cecil. . . Comprising nearly 4,000 birdskms, the collection of African birds formed by the late" Mr Boyd Alexander, and bequeathed by him to the Natural History department of the British Musetim, has now been handed over to that institution. V . Of the 4300 known species of flowers only 420 have ah agreeable perfume, the white and cream-coloured being the sweetest.-
