Resolutions were unanimously passed—that the time has fully arrived when the representation of country clubs on the New Zealand Conference should be equal with that of metropolitan clubs, and the meeting earnestly requested the conference to grant the concession; that the New Zealand Conference as at pre sent constituted does not give the representation desired by country clubs; that the conference to set up a committee to see if it was desirable to set irp a New Zealand Jockey Club; that a deputation wait .on the chairman of the Racing Conference and lay before him the resolutions . v passed at the meeting, coupled - with the request that the conference grant the concessions asked for, and.' the delegates report this (Monday) afternoon at 2.30

At this .stage the meeting discussed' the 'Racing Comission’s report, and the meeting resolved that a grave injustice was done country racing clubs by cancelling tote permits. It was prepared to render all assistance to clubs in making representations _to Parliament to reinstate such permits. If the House opines that permits should be reduced the reduction should only affect those clubs racing more than! two days a year. The chairman of the meeting was empowered to promote a Bill for consideration during ensuing session s of Parliament, having the object that Parliament should give preference to clubs holding one-day meetings. All present were appointed to deputationise Sir James Carroll, to lay before him the resolutions passed, and the grievances under which country clubs are suffering.
