PERSONAL NOTES.
The Mayor (Mr W. D. Lysnar), and Mr F. J. Lysnar returned to Gitborne 'by the s.s. Victoria on Saturday morning. Mr W. D. S. MacDonald, M.P. left for Wellington by the Tarawera last 'evening to be present at the opening of Parliament on Thursday. The Ven. Archdeacon Williams was a passenger by the southern steamer last evening. Mr G. H. Lysnar . returned from Auckland by the Tarawera yesterday -afternoon. Private advice has been received by Mr H. Twiss. of Stratford, to the effect that his brother-in-Taw, Major Lascelles, who recently proceeded to England, has been appointed aide-de-camp 'to Lord Kitchener.
