KILLED BY A TRAIN.
TRAGEDY AT HASTINGS. # CPER PRESS ASSOCIATION.} HASTINGS, July 24. As the Napier train was leaving Hastings l on Saturday evening, and while passing St. Aubyru crossing, the fireman noticed a man lying on the road near the lino. The train was pulled up. A search revealed the body of a mail', who had evidently been caught by the cowcatcher, and had sustained injuries that had proved immediately fatal. He was named Chas. Wm. Timms, single, aged 29, a bricklayer, Who resided at Tomoana.
