PATHE PICTURES

“A Cowboy’s Vindication” is the title of a star drama of the new programme to be introduced at the' Pathe Pictures this evening. The scene of the story is in the State of Montana, and the principal actors are two cowboys whoi are brothers, and one of whom is a drunkard. The other, a manlv and upright fellow, strives to lead his brother away from his degrading associates and. after some trouble in a gambling saloon, does so. The drunkard, however, is intent on roystering, and tries to steal back, but his brother again intervenes, and" it is during the struggle that ensues. that an enemy cf the drunkard arrives and discharges his revolver at the scuffling pair, with the result that. the drunkard is killed- Knowing that the evidence will go against him', the brother sets out in pursuit of his brother’s, slayer, and the closing scene, depicting the capture, abounds in stirringly dramatic situations. The dramas to be shown also include “A Painful Debt,” and “From Tyranny to Liberty.” A novelty entitled “Peculiar Pets” depicts the antics and tricks of a. number of domesticated pets such as a doormouse, a terrier, a kangaroo, and others too numerous to mention, whilst “The Dissolution of Parliament” illustrates this rarely seen novelty. The latest "Pathe Gazette” is an attractive topical item, and the “comics” include “The Hall Boy’s Room,” “The Rev. Goodleigh’s Courtship.” and “Charlie becomes a Warrior.” Some edifying scenic films are also included.
