BRIGAND’S PREPOSTEROUS CLAIM. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.] CONSTANTINOPLE, July 25. Dr. Richter’s friends have offered £3OOO as a ransom to the brigands for liis release, but the brigands demand £50,000 sterling. Troops soundly flogged the inhabitants of the surrounding villages in order to learn the brigands’ whereabouts, •but failed.
