KETCH HAS ROUGH TRIP.
MATE LOST 1 OVERBOARD. [Pee press associations WELLINGTON, July 26. The ketch Lizzie Taylor arrived from Timaru this morning after a very roughtripe She left the southern port on Saturday last, and 1 on the following day, when off Kaikoura, she shipped a big sea.- which washed overboard the wheel and 1 the mate, a single man named Charles Bruela, who had been steering. Brhsla was drowned, although great efforts were made to save him. For the remainder of the voyage block and tackle were used to work the rudder. After the accident, the ketch was ho veto until the weather moderated yesterday. The deceased was a native of Finland, aged 32. ,
