FOUND DEAD

WHANGAREI, July 27. Charles Taylor, married, of Wliakapara, left Hikurangi for his home last night. His dead body was found on the road to Otonga this morning.
BUSHFELLING ACCIDENT. EKETAHUNA, July 27. A young man named Shirley, whilst bushfelling at Atea, was caught by a tree springing back, and his right leg was severely crushed. . He was brought into Eketahuna. It was found necessary to amputate the limb below the knee. He is progressing favorably.
FALL FROM A DRAY. PAHIATUA, July 27. A serious accident occurred to MiHenry Futcher, a borough carter. He was engaged; in carting the trimmings from the trees of the town square, and was just about to drive off with a load, when the fell off the dray on to the road. Futoher, who is an elderjy man, sustained very severe injuries to his spine, and he lies in a critical state.
ACCIDENTALLY SHOT. WELLINGTON, July 27. Ashburton David Stoba, an old and respected resident of Methven, accideiitally shot himself this morning while out shooting sparrows. _ He was found by neighbors, with a frightful found in the head. Death must have been instantaneous. FARMER DROPS DEAD. AUCKLAND, July 27. A farmer named Frederick Candwell who resided at Wade, dropped dead in his house this morning. Candwell was apparently in good health yesterday, and the cause of death is not known.
