Some 200 people in the Rossendale Valley of Lancashire were the victims of an alarming outbreak of ptomaine poisoning. In certain cases whole families were attacked. A Frenchman suffering from mental troubles at Larache raced naked through the streets at night, and threw himself on. a sentinel, who fired, wounding the Frenchman. The latter was removed to Tangier. •
