REVIVING THE DEAD.

CLAIMS OF THE “HUMAN X-RAYS

SCIENTISTS.”

The Maidstone coroner inquired into the death of Miss May Twort, .twentythree, daughter of a resident of Eccles, a neighbouring village, who died suddenly at Sheals Court, Maidstone, the establishment of the Brothers Grant, who described themselves as 11 Human X-Rays Scientists.” Dr. Travers, who have made a postmortem examination, certified that death was due to tubercolosis of the lungs. Albert Grant, giving evidence, said he was ‘‘a scientist. We practise a science,” he added, “only known to me and my brother.” The Coroner: How do you apply this wonderful science ?—ln this way (making a pass with his hand). If a tree were decayed could you stop the decay ?—1 could if I wished to exert my power.. 1 have even forced poppy seeds and destroyed them afterwards. Can you restore the life of a dead person?-—I have done so. He said he kept the young woman alive until the valves of her heart gave out. The witness further asserted that he “could see through anyone”; lie could, in fact, he said, “look right through a steel door.” There was no person living who could escape his power. The jury returned a verdict of Death from Natural Causes. The Coroner told Mr. Grant that he was treading on very thorny ground, and advised him to bo careful how he acted.
