SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
tPEEf PRESS ASSOCIATION.J WELLINGTON, August 2. The Meteorological Office to-night issued the following weather summary and forecast: — Cloudy and unsettled weather with rain has prevailed in most parts of the country, with moderate to strong northerly winds veering to westerly. The barometer has been unsteady. Present indications are for. moderate to strong westerly winds, with cloudy and showery weather generally. The barometer will probably rise slowly in! the far north, but is unsteady elsewhere. A further fall is likely to precede a smart rise in about twenty-four hours.
