THE WEATHER.
UNSETTLED CONDITIONS EXPECTED. CPER PRESS ASSOCIATION.! WELLINGTON, August 10. The Meteorological Office to-night issued the following weather summary and forecast:— Since Tuesday morning the barometer has fallen eight-tenths of an inch at the Bluff, and is falling everywhere. Fair weather, but with increasing cloudiness lias prevailed, except about tlie East Cape, where showery weather has continued. Moderate to strong easterly winds are reported in the north, and northerly winds increasing elsewhere, a gale being reported in Foveaux Straits to-day. Present indications arc for easterly and northerly winds, increasing strong to gale. Hazy, unsettled, and cloudy weather will probably precede rain in all parts of the country. The barometer is falling everywhere.
