DANGERS OF THE BUSH.

WORKMAN’S TERRIBLE EXPERI-, ENCE. (.PEE PEEOB ASSOCIATION.} WANGANUI, Aug. 10. The dangers and privations incidental to bushfelling in the backblocks were exemplified to-day while working in the Ahuahu Block, inland from Wanganui River. A young man named Frank Williamson was jammed between two trees on a steep siding, and broke his leg. The sufferer was placed on a paekhors© at 4 one o’clock this morning, and carried several miles over a bush trade. He was then put on a stretcher, and carried by his mates to the river, whore he arrived this afternoon. A special steamer brought him down to the hospital, which was reached at 11 p.m.
