TUNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.! f SYDNEY, Aug 16.' ' ; ,- The Underwriters’ Association has been advised that the Fifeshire is a total wreck. LONDON, Aug. 15. The following is a list of passengers in the Fifeshire's missing boats: —From Sydney: Mr Man nix, Mesdames Dare and Mann Lx,. Miss Owen: 'from Brisbane —Mr White, or Wright, his wife, son, and daughter, Mrs and Miss Bladin. The boats also contain the following members of the crew : Chief officer, Woods; second officer, Caulfield; engineers, Mackinnon and Laird, and sixteen of the crew. The Fifeshire was insured for nearly £500.000. ADEN, Aug. 15. The wrecked steamer is lying on nard sand and coral, in 19ft. of water, broadside on to a heavy swell. The holds are flooded. The vessel is flumping heavily, and the prospects of salvage are unfavorable. The steamer stranded on the evening of August 9, and was abandoned at noon on the 11th. Mr. Wood’s boat has not been seen since leaving at noon on the 10th. Mr. Caulfield’s boat was last seen at midnight on the 11th, seven miles south of Guardafui. The following are the names of the members of the crew in the missing boats: Alvery, W. Brown. Erman, Gannon, Goodwin, Joyce. Mac Lean, MacLeod, Mofrati, Spahrs, Spender, W. Stewart. H. Stewart, Waddington, Wahtors, and Wallace.
