VESSELS IN PORT

Kowhai, : s.s. Coronation, ketch. Alert,scow. The Union Co.'s Kowhai completed her discharge, and sailed for Greyiqgu.til last evening. The scow Magic arrived at 9 o'clock last evening from Wellington with a load of sewerage pipes. She left Wellington cn Saturday last, and arrived off Portland Island on Tuesday morning, and since then had been unable to come up to trie harbor on account of head winds. ohe loads maize for Wellington, and will return about Wednesday. Captain M>Lellan is in charge, and on this trip brought his wife and four children with him. _ , Messrs. Huddart, Parker, and Co. s Victoria left Napier last evening, and should arrive in the roadstead early this morning. The Tuatea leaves the wharf to connect at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., and the Victoria resumes her passage to Sydney, via Tokomaru Bay and Auckland, about noon. The bookings are as follows:—For Auckland: Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Lysnar arid daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ivil, Misses Green, Rosie. R. N. McFarlane, Mesdames W. Bruce, Lawrie, and Atkinson, Constable Moriarty, Messrs. J: Clark, F. H. Brodrick, J. A. Douglas, Lloyd Williams, Aitken, Styles, and Knight. For Sydney: Mr. R. Peterson. The_Union Co.’s Tarawera, which went north on Wednesday, is expected to return from Auckland, via Tokomaru Bay, to-morrow afternoon. She will be tenered on arrival and at 5 p.m., and proceeds to Napier and southern ports later in the evening. The Kaiapoi Shipping Co.'s Kairaki, with a general cargo from the South, arrived yesterday morning, and sailed later for Kaiapoi. with a shipment of about 90 head of cattle. The Union Co.'s Sauall is expected to arrive from Auckland, via 'iologd Bay, this morning, and she is timed to sail on the return passage this evening. _ Messrs. Richardson and Co.'s Ripple arrived from Wellington and Napier yesterday morning, and left for the South after discharging. The scow Alert returned from Ngunguru yesterday morning.
