CUSTOMS DUTIES.
A RECORD WEEK. The revenue collected at the local Custom-house during the week ending on Saturday Avas as follows: Customs duties £1897 15s Id, beer duty £37 Is, light dues £1 11s 9d, shinping fees £4 5s lid; total £1940 13® 9d. This establishes a record, and is probablv accounted for by the big shipments of drapery goods, transhipped ex Ara Ava and Waiwera, which' came to ha'nd during the week. The previous' record Avas on August 6th, 1910, wlien the figures Avere as follows: Customs duties (including surtax. £3B) £1769 13s 10d„ beer duty £4l 6s 6d, light dues £l4 5s Id, shipping 19s 9d, other receipts £25; total, £lßsl 5s 2d.
