GENTLE ANNIE QUARRY.
PROGRESS OF OPERATIONS. The following report dealing with the progress of at the Gentle Annie quarry was "received by the Borough Council last night from the Engineer’s department: - The amount of metal and screenings quarried and hauled to town for the fortnight ending is 516 cubic yards. The total amount hauled to town per tramline up to date is . 1548 cubic yards, which lias been distributed over the Borough. The quarry machinery and rolling stock are m good order and condition. The Grizzley screen has been fixed up, thus saving a great amount of spawls, which can now be used on the roads without going through the crusher. A slight breakdown has occurred to the rolling stock, but this has since been remedied. It caused no diminution in the amount of material handled. It has been arranged that the Cook County Council shall receive 80' yards of metal per week at the terminus for the present, and I would ask the Council to approve of this arrangement. The report was adopted.
