REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION
- The usual weekly- meeting of the Referees’ Association, was held last night, there being a fair attendance. Mr. Hay occupied the chair. ! ' - Correspondence was received from the New Zealand Referees’ Association containing a number of important rulings- on tire game. „ . The arrangements for the entertainment of visiting players and friends m connection witli tlie match. Te Aiai v. Gisborne 'Football Club at Te Aral on Thursday week were considered at a meeting of members of the Te Aral Football Club last night. It was decided to entertain the visiting players and the ladies at afternoon tea on the ground; to hold a dinner at the Bridge Hotel subsequently, and then in the evening to have a monster social in the Te Arai school room, with a sit-down supper at 12.30 a.in. 'Our special correspondent also added that the Te Ai*ai hoys are getting into fine fettle and'expect to put up a hard battle against the town players. AUCKLAND TOURING TEAM.
